Alley Pond Nurseries was founded in 1926 by Hans Runge. Hans owned and ran a garden center near Alley Pond Park in Queens.
(This was Alley Pond Nurseries Bayside).
As this business flourished Hans purchased approximately 30 acres in Dix Hills and established Alley Pond Nurseries. Alley Pond Nurseries was a landscape design/build firm and retail plant center.
Lead by Richard Runge, Hans' son, Alley Pond Nurseries soon became a firm of reputation for its residential projects receiving recognition on national platform.
Our Vision
At Alley Pond Nurseries we look to create the proper Home / Landscape Balance for each of our clients. We will generate outdoor rooms such as active use areas, reflective spaces, and visual gardens, and use areas to connect the indoor experience to the outdoors.
